The Edge of Appalachia Nature Photography
"My good friend Rick Conner and I spent about a year and a half shooting a project we called, " A Year on the Edge." We chronicled the seasons at The Edge of Appalachia nature preserve in Adams County Ohio. The Nature Conservancy is protecting this land for future generations. It is basically the farthest western edge of the Appalachian mountain range. Rick and I covered this area through the seasons to help draw attention to the work they are doing to keep it protected and help raise money for the cause. This project was therapeutic on so many levels. Working on a project over a year and a half creates plenty of opportunities to really get to know a place and see it with new eyes. I am eternally grateful to Rick for asking me to be involved in this project. "
